SARC put on the station GB4CDW in 2023 as a last minute entry for Mills on the Air from Clifton Downs Windmill (MOTA Log) on Sunday 14th May. A 5m pole with an inverted V dipole was erected and an IC-7300 with LifePO battery used to power the station. G4NAQ, G3YHV, G4DVV, M0GEJ and G0CJG put on the station despite band conditions which were not ideal. The majority of stations were GM, GI, PA with only 1 G station contacted in the 2 hours the station was operational.
In 2024 slightly more organised but band conditions were against us. The 2024 team G4NAQ, G4DVV, G3YHV, G3ZUT, G1YOY, G4KKU.
In 2025 we were on the air again with some distractions provided by other residents on the Durdham Downs which I am sure most people are well aware of. We were only operational again on the Sunday but managed quite a few contacts and we appeared to be having more luck than some of the other stations.. Band conditions not the best yet again !
