A new piece of software for 2025 developed with Visual Studio 2026 VB.Net and .Net v10 (both in preview). This application allows you to check and then download eQSL card images from the https://www.eqsl.cc/ website.
There are a number of options available to control the cards you wish to download which include date ranges, confirmed or unconfirmed cards, ignoring SWL cards, downloading from the Inbox, Archive or both locations.
The default option is “Check mode” which quickly produces a list of cards in the status Log. This will advise you of the number of cards and details of each card. If the “Check mode” is deselected the individual PNG format images are then downloaded to the eQSL folder you have chosen.
- The status log shows the current activity and any error messages.
- During the download process a preview of each card is shown in a window on the form.
- eQSL requests you do not download more than 6 cards per minute so an artificial delay is part of the download process.
- If a card has already been downloaded but remains in your Inbox the download is skipped. The preview of the card will be shown.
- A message below the status log shows details of the last time you uploaded your log to eQSL.
- A status line at the bottom of the form shows the current activity which will be waiting or Downloading along with the number of cards processed.
- All settings are saved other than mode which always defaults to “Check Mode”.
The downloads uses the native API provided by eQSL which in itself has a few limitations. The main limitation today being there is no automated process to move eQSL cards from the Inbox to the Archive, this must be done manually via the eQSL web interface.
The software is supplied as a exe file/installer. This file has been verified using https://www.virustotal.com/.
This is the first release of the application so feedback appreciated if you encounter any problems via the webmaster contact form. The application is not signed yet and you may need to override the browser download if its classified as unsafe.
