DF Hunt – The Downs
June 1 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
1. Event commences at 2pm on the downs from Sea Walls to Stoke Road – meet at the water tower if you do not have any equipment to join another team. You can start from anywhere but the water tower has been suggested.
2. Transmissions every 3 minutes for 30 seconds on 436.000Mhz with just a carrier. Every transmission will also start and end with CW. It starts by sending “G4AHG” and ends with a “K”.
3. The transmitter also has a microphone enabled during its transmissions which can be used for various purposes…….
4. If you do manage to find the TX just talk to it at a distance and then scarper – No microphone is visible. Having found it you can then wander all over the downs looking lost to confuse the others.
5. Talk-back / chat on 145.425Mhz
6. At the end of the event which will be 4.30pm (or earlier if everyone has given up/found the station) meet at the Ice Cream van at Sea Walls
